How the three resize modes work
Exact size — pick target width and height. With the ratio lock on (default), every image is scaled to fit inside your box without distortion; the box acts as a maximum, never a stretch target. Unlock the ratio and the image is forced to exactly W×H.
Percent — one number scales every image. 50% halves both dimensions. Aspect ratio is always kept.
Target file size — we keep your dimensions and binary-search the encoder quality (8 steps) until each file lands under your KB target. Reported sizes are the real bytes of the files you download, not estimates.
Downscaling uses the browser’s high-quality smoothing. Results stay sharp at typical e-commerce sizes (1,200–2,000 px longest side).
Supported formats
Input: JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC*, GIF, BMP, TIFF*, SVG. Multiple files or a whole folder at once.
Output: Same as original, JPEG, PNG, or WebP. When you pick “Same as original”, JPEG/PNG/WebP files keep their format; GIF, BMP and TIFF originals are saved as PNG, because browsers can only encode JPEG, PNG and WebP.
*HEIC and TIFF are decoded by your browser itself, not by this page. Safari (macOS/iOS) decodes HEIC; Chrome, Edge and Firefox on Windows do not, and this page shows a clear per-file message instead of failing silently. No file ever leaves your device in either case.
Hard limits this page enforces
Three thresholds, enforced in this page’s code. They are settings — not marketing:
- Up to 100 files per batch. The 101st file is refused with a message.
- Up to 30 MB per file. Larger files are refused with a message before any processing.
- Up to 12,000 px on the longest side of any single image. Larger images are refused after decoding.
- Processing: one file at a time, decoded and drawn on a canvas inside this tab. There is no queue system, no daily counter and no account — because there is no server to count on.
FAQ
How do I batch resize images without losing quality?
Batch resize with PNG output at 100% (lossless) or JPEG/WebP at quality 90+. Downscaling with the browser’s high-quality smoothing keeps edges clean; re-upscaling always softens, so start from the largest original you have.
Is this bulk picture resizer free?
Yes. No account, no sign-up, no watermark, no trial. The page has no server to bill you on.
Can I mass resize photos and download everything at once?
Yes. After a run, “Download all (.zip)” packages every successful result into one ZIP. You can also download or copy single results.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Decoding, resizing and zipping all happen inside this browser tab on your device.
What is the largest batch I can resize?
100 files, 30 MB each, 12,000 px longest side — the hard thresholds above, enforced in code. Larger jobs should be split into a few batches.
